My camera is a very old and tired Nikon D100 (it takes a CF card and not an SD it's that old). I bought it from a work colleague just before the tiddlers were born, but then found myself very scared of it for a long time and so didn't really use it. How silly. It was a good buy though because I got it with everything I needed to get started and there are still bodies only for sale for around what I paid him . I don't like to use flash so have added a prime lens (not a very expensive one though) which is my go to especially for portraits of the kids and it tends to stay on the camera! Also I am in a bit of a predicament now because I am lusting after a new one because I would like to have video capability and it's a bit slow at times, but this one, although old, is quite high spec and I have been spoiled and I am pretty sure we can't afford for me to have a newer equivalent. Oh the drama ;)
My sister in law has just bought a new Canon, but I can't remember the model or the one she had before, but she's taken some great pictures of my kids so I'll find out and let you know.
Let me know what you end up with.
Also, if you don't mind, can you PM me on V with your email address?
He is utterly delicious rach :D
ReplyDeleteCan I be cheeky and ask what camera you have? I'm in the market after a rather generous tax rebate...
Thanks Beth. Yay for the tax rebate. Woo hoo!!
