After posting this post I went out and bought Alicia Keys' new album. (I have to have a physical CD; I'm old and I will download if I have to, although I generally feel deprived by them.)
I saw her doing a PA in a club with a few hundred other people on Trevor Nelson's Rhythm Nation tour about 11 years ago. It was around the time that 'Songs in A Minor' was released and she was amazing even then.
Of course you can now imagine what the album of choice in my car is and I have just discovered 'Not Even The King'. The lyrics to this song are so beautiful and make me feel so blessed to have my wonderful husband and children.
