A - 365
D - 365
Teeny - 365
Today the three of you got to attend your very first wedding and what a wedding it was.  We were so privileged and honoured to be part of what was such a beautiful and touching occasion and I am so grateful to Alex and Claire for allowing us to share their day with them.

QUIET CALM

A - 365
D - 365
Teeny - 365

I love you all so much, but sometimes being a mommy is hard for me, really hard and some days life is crazy, really crazy so creeping in and watching you sleep is often what brings calmness to those crazy, difficult days.

EXPLORATION

Teeny - 365
As you get older and more steady you are really enjoying exploring our home.  I had forgotten how interesting the simplest things can become when they are looked at from a child's perspective.

LAUGHING HARD

A - 365
D - 365
We're so happy to be sharing another one of our precious hours after school.

WELCOME HOME MOMMY

A - 365
D - 365
Teeny - 365
I get this greeting every Monday and Friday when I arrive home from work and I just love it.  To hear or see their excitement as I pull onto the drive or open the front door is one of the best feelings in the world.

(By the way this photo is yet another one that should be black and white, but Blogger has decided to upload it in an weird sepia sort of tone....Again!)

HE'LL BE BACK SOON

Teeny - 365
He'll be back soon is what I tell you while you stand at the front door with your sister looking out for Daddy.  Oh how you love that man and oh how I love that you love him.

NO FAVOURITISM INTENDED

Teeny - 365
Sadly it just so happens that today you are the only person I can find a photograph of.  I think your daddy must have taken it in an attempt to help me as I clearly wouldn't have been home at this time.  You all go to bed not long after I get back and I think that time must have just run away with me tonight..  I feel so sad that there is another day that isn't documented properly, but I am thankful that we at least have this one of you.

REUNITED

A - 365
D - 365
Teeny - 365
My Auntie Lynda is such a special person to me and the last time we all got to see her was almost two and a half years ago and I wasn't even pregnant with Teeny.  l have been desperate for us all to see her again and particularly for her to meet Teeny and today that day finally came.  Although the reason for her visit to England from Canada was not a happy one, I still feel completely blessed that we all got to see her today and that she finally got to meet the newest member of our little family.

JOINING THE GANG

  Teeny - 365
This photograph really isn't great quality, but I love it nonetheless.Daddy tells me that you went and sat yourself here without any prompting from anybody.  I love how you love them.

BURIED TREASURE

A - 365
D - 365
Following on from a post yesterday's about our precious hour, today you two showed me Buried Treasure which is a phonics activity that you have been having a go at at school with your teachers.  I really enjoy you showing me and talking to me about things that you have been doing at school so this was fun for me today.  Thank you for sharing it with me.

RUNNING

Teeny - 365
Neurotic mother alert!

I think this is probably the first time I have seen you run.  To be honest I'm glad I wasn't there at the time because I would have been too frightened of you falling on the slabs to have allowed it, let alone been laid back enough to take a photograph of you doing it.

FROM UNDER THE TABLE......

D - 365
......I watch you concentrate so hard on writing your letters.  Reading and writing does not come as easily to you as it does to your sister, but you are doing so well and you always try your best which is all anybody can ever ask of you.  Be so very proud of yourself my sweet boy because we certainly are.

PRECIOUS HOUR

A - 365
I am still struggling with you and D being at school.  I have to collect you both just after 3.00pm and we are normally in the house and sorted by 3.30pm which, on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, gives me an hour with you both before I have to dish up the dinner and then start working at 4.45pm.  I am desperately trying to make sure I have prepared dinner while you are at school and that I have something we can all do together for our precious hour.  Today I got out some phonics wipe clean books that we have and we all practiced letter formation while we talked about your day at school.  Oh how I miss the luxury of the time that we have had together for almost the last five years.  It is so heartwarming to see how you submerse yourselves in school and how you are forming such lovely friendships, but there is a tiny bit of me that constantly feels anxious and possibly even uncomfortable about school and wishes I was confident enough to consider other approaches to education like homeschooling and unschooling.  I know that as parents we are all supposed to know what is best for our children, but I'm afraid that I honestly sometimes really don't......

CANDY STRIPE

Teeny - 365
These PJs came 3000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean for you from my dear Auntie Lyn.  She sent them for your naming day gift and I couldn't wait for you to wear them, but they have been too big until now.  They were worth the wait though; from the smile on your face it looks like you love them as much as I do.

STAYING CLOSE

A - 365
D - 365
Our sofa can seat four easily and five if need be, but this is how you two always sit on it; as close to each other as is utterly possible and normally snuggled up or holding hands.  It amazes  that sometimes I spend the whole day playing referee with you two and yet within seconds you can go from winding each other up like springs to being snuggled up tightly together.  You two are the luckiest to be twins and to always have each other.

PROUD

A - 365
D - 365

Teeny -365*
I know that these photos are by no means perfect, but they are the kind that I planned on taking when I started this project, but then life (and work and school) took over and I have been lucky to get any kind of photograph full stop never mind a beautifully framed and lit and perfectly edited one so when I manage to take half decent photos like this it really makes me proud to have persevered with this project.

*As an aside Blogger is driving me mad at the moment as every so often it changes my black and white photos to a sepia kind of colour during the uploading process so these bottom ones of Teeny are actually black and white and much more lovely than they look here.

MAKING A BREAK FOR IT

Teeny - 365
Come Back!

ALMOST AT THE FINISH LINE

Teeny - 365
I love how the simplest things, like running up and down the footpath, are what make you smile the most.

TIGHT GRIP

A - 365
These boys are the luckiest to have you as their sister.  Look how tightly Teeny grips your hand in this photo.  When I watch him with you I often think that he feels as safe in your arms as he does in my own.  Physically you may not always be able to keep that tight grip on each other, but make sure you never let what you have with  your brothers fall from your hands and if it does make sure you pick it up real quick.

EXERCISE CLASS

While I was working upstairs I could hear you all in fits of giggles and so I poked my head out of the window and this is what I found.  Daddy running his own little exercise class.

STICKERS

A - 365
D - 365
A&D have both been getting stickers from school for doing well at things which has, in turn, prompted them to play teachers with their own stickers.  Here D waits to be given the sticker which A is so carefully choosing for him.

BLURRED VISION

Teeny - 365
No, it's not your eyes this picture really is that blurred, but it is the only one we have of you from today.  Sorry!

OVER THE FENCE

D - 365
Here you are playing a little game that you, your sister and our next door neighbour have devised between you; playing catch over the fence even though you can't see each other.  I love how this makes you giggle.

ALL PARTIED OUT

Teeny - 365
Today we went to the christening party of one of A&D's school friends.  You had so much fun, but this is what happened in the 10 minute journey home.

A RELAXING BATH

D - 365

RAPUNZEL

A - 365
Despite my suggestions you are adamant about the fact that you are growing your hair and are desperate for it to reach your bottom.

EI-SHA

Teeny - 365
Your brother and sister often poke their head round here to have a chat with the little girl next door and so today you thought you would see what happened when you tried.  You called and called  and called her, but unfortunately she never came.

IN THE BUCKET

D - 365
How much fun can one boy have with a tennis ball and a bucket?

SNUGGLING DOWN FOR THE NIGHT

FLAT OUT

Teeny - 365
It's Friday night which means I get to put you to bed, but today you were so tired that you were asleep before we got there.
