6/52 TOGETHER

I miss your babyhoods so much.  I miss the endless breastfeeding and you wanting to just snuggle up on my lap for hours and not being able to move from the sofa.  I miss watching the sun come up after a sleepless night and long daytime naps; your wrinkly rolls of chub and toothless gums.  It makes me sad to think that sometimes those memories will not be so fresh in my mind, but we are making new memories all of the time. Memories of the relationships between the three of you growing; the way you cuddle up on the sofa together and the way Teeny calls A and D from the bottom of the stairs and can't quite pronounce the 's' at the end of his sister's name.  I love the way our beautiful girl mothers her little brother (even if the fear of her breaking his arms because of the way she tries to lift and guide him makes me feel a little sick at times).  The way the three of you play together with our big boy's castle and his desperation to teach his little brother all of the things he knows. Our littlest always sucking in his cheeks accompanying his needs to kiss everybody special to him before he leaves the room and his repetition of the word "cud-tle" to those very people he adores so much.

These tiny moments in amongst the chaos are what makes my heart sing every day.

Thank you my little loves.

BLUE LIGHTS

Teeny - 365
I cannot explain how much you loved this police car of Asher's today.  You spent forever getting in and out of it and "driving" it around his garden.  I think maybe we should ask Father Christmas for one.  What do you think?

THE NEW MACHINE

A - 365
So here you are with your brother trying out Daddy's new motorbike for size; you look so different from when you were trying out his last one.

A TREASURE TROVE

A - 365
Here you with your brother next to a gorgeous old vehicle stored at Birmingham Museums and Art Gallery's Collection Centre.  I had never really thought about what museums do with all of the things that they own that is not on display, but today we found out.  Daddy and I took you and your brothers to a (free) open day at the Collections Centre and I can only describe it as a treasure trove.  As well as all of  the amazing collections which are stored there they also had a falconry display and animals from Animalmania and the Minibeast Roadshow as well as a visit from the Lord Mayor.

We all had a really lovely afternoon, but your particular favourites were the animals and the collections comprising of pretty things and of toys like these ones.

FROM THE OUTSIDE LOOKING IN

Teeny - 365
From the outside of the train looking in this is what I see; our beautiful boy taking in the world around him and what a wonderful place the Isle of Wight Steam Railway is for him to absorb.

TRAIN DRIVER

D - 365
Just as it was time for us to leave the Isle of Wight Steam Railway the very kind train driver allowed you to go up into his cab complete with his hat to see what he was up to.  How kind it was of him to give you that opportunity; you were absolutely proud as punch!

FIRE!!

A - 365
On our little train journey from  Havenstreet to Smallbrook Junction on the very lovely Isle of Wight Steam Railway we had to stop for the train crew to put out a small grass fire at the side of the track.  As you can see Little Miss was very concerned by the whole incident.

HAPPY TIRED

Teeny - 94/365
Worn out from all of the excitement of the train journey to the museum and seeing the animals there you snuggle in ready for the journey home. Happy tired like we all were today.

BIG WHEEL!

D - 92/365
Not only did we see the animals today, but also the combine harvester with wheels so big you could sit inside them.  I think this may have been your favourite thing today.
